Adelaide Green Car Plant gains grassroots support.

This is a Press Release I sent out today on our proposal for a green car plant in Adelaide.

Proponents of a new Australian Green Car Plant utilise email and cyber networking to garner support to ‘fast track’ project.

The American automotive industry crisis, as illustrated by Anne Davies [link], whilst regrettable may provide an unparalleled windfall opportunity for Australia if we pool our efforts, act quickly & impeccably to make the best of our assets:

“Australia has advantages valued by the global group: an exporting culture, innovative suppliers, good research and development in lightweight materials needed for fuel efficiency, expertise in automotive electronics and competitive tool making”.

As outlined in the attached UniCo trans-hybrid.pdf our plan to augment an existing automobile manufacturer’s “vehicle platform” on the production line with advanced Australian light “carbon footprint” technology will be the worlds first competitively priced, highly fuel efficient/low emission (green), ergonomically functional & user friendly “universal design” car (unicar) thus giving us a consummate competitive edge in the global market. There are a number of Auto Manufacturers with appropriate vehicle platform for this purpose but our first choice at this time is the pioneer of the modern minivan/people mover market with sales that have previously placed it in the top ten highest selling vehicles of all time: Chrysler.

We can secure our future in the Global Automobile Market by utilising existing government resources, strong union leadership & investing in leading edge technologies developed by Australian research entities (e.g. www.csiro.au & www.autocrc.com) in a major nation building for recovery initiative that will result in a more efficient & competitive economy as a whole. It is exactly this type of strong & decisive action that will build up the economy and allow us to begin paying down the national debt more quickly than the purveyors’ of economic pessimism & paralysis gloomily predict.

I look forward to working together with the people of Australia to rise to this challenge and make Adelaide the ground zero & Mecca of renewable energy light ‘carbon footprint’ technology of all types but in particular the next generation of auto manufacturing.

Email ‘letters of support’ to Labor candidate for the Seat of Mitchell,
Alan Sibbons: alan.sibbons@alp.org.au

We have until close of business Friday 5th June to send as many “letters of support” to SAIIF program with whom we lodged our application for funding last week. Our objective is to create a groundswell of grass root support in the electorate, utilising what ever networks & databases each of us have available should be targeted by word of mouth, email request, letters to the editor, phone call to talk back or drive-time radio jock, i.e. union, non-union, community groups, associations, schools, clubs, family, friends.

Specifically give out this email address for people to send their “letters of support”:alan.sibbons@alp.org.au

There is no “right” form although the higher quality the message the better – people can use personal examples of why they think it is a good idea and what that would mean for them, for the community, the economy, the state & Australia. They can attach a signed letter (preferably) or send the message in the body of the email.

The idea is to inform people on how they can support this project and spread the word to others so they can do likewise. This project has so many advantages for a wide cross section of the Australian community that it will attract and desrves a high degree of bipartisan from all fair minded citizens.

“Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party”! Carpe Diem, Adelaide!
